Can anyone tell me where they mount the factory Sirius DLP module on a 2007 EB?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

I have an 06 but it was right behind the right passenger side kick panel.

OK, how do you remove the kick panel?

Remove the door sil trim piece. Then pull up the weather-stripping around the door opening. Then grab the kick panel and pull.

Under the tray, top center of the dash.

Inside the Explorer? I thought they had to be outside on the roof somewhere?

I'm also considering upgrading to the factory Nav system, Where would be the best place to get a hold of one that is already programmed for my EB?

They can be mounted inside, and I have done so in several vehicles.

Ebay.

Hey...That was easy. It turns out that the wire harness is already there behind the kick panel to plug into the Sirius DLP module. All that you have to do is mount the module there and hookup the antenna. Where do you think the best place is to mount the magnetic antenna and route the cable?

FYI, I purchased the Sirius kit from S.P.L. Electronic Installations,

I am using the existing antenna, maybe you can too. Just remove that plastic from the plug.

I have a 2006 X, do you think the Sirius Wire Harness is in there as well. I have the Audophile System w/ Navi? I wanted to get a Sirius Module off Ebay and just install it in there, but the ones I were looking at only had the sirius module and antenna, but not the wiring harness.

I remember a guy selling the harness on eBay last year. The problem is that its too darn hard to pull that thing out. I just left mine sitting there.

Ditto. I made a plastic plate that matches the factory Sirius box, and mounted my new Sirius stuff to it. So, my Sirius box (and the little yellow plug cover) are in a box for when trade time comes.

Not sure if it would be there on the 06 or not. All you would have to do is remove the passenger kick panel on your 06 and look for the connector. I plugged it into my new Sirius module and connected the antenna, turned on the radio pressed the media button and SIRIUS displayed on the radio and I was hearing the weather broadcast. It was that simple.

A few on here have bought NAV radio's from a person who does sell on eBay, his email is tauk@aol.com and you should tell him what options you have so the radio would be programmed properly (i.e. Rear Set Entertainment, Steering Wheel Radio Controls, etc.). The radio's have come out of Mountaineers, so they will show a Mercury logo for a few seconds during startup. He may also have Ford nav radio's as well.
