Jim, you can put a locker just in the rear without any problems. In fact that would be the best way to get some additional traction. What you need to do is ask yourself what the locker will be used for the most, (4-wheeling, slick boat ramps, etc.) Then decide which locker is best suited to your needs. If you just need some extra traction for those slick boat ramps or for the snowy weather then your best bet is for a limited slip. But if you want something for 4-wheeling then you are better off with a positive locking diff. Hope this helps! Dead Link Removed good luck!
