hey all its been a while but i have swapped one in my mounty (origonal suspected bad:rolleyes:) with the 4406 t-case and havent ever locked it into 4wd or used 4wd until tonight. some new guy thought his zr2 s10 was the **** and was like "ill hook up to that mounty!"..i obliged and pulled his ass like a freight train! haha
dont know if you guys can see it, a buddy put it on facebook, ill get it on youtube tomorow if not

but anyhow!, has anyone had experience with these diffs/ how can i permanently lock it in 4wd? after the pull i started getting a squeak from it on the way home like its half engaged...(pretty sure it is this is the first time its been tested out) when i installed it i just pushed the fork over to 4wd, nothing keeping it there

First off, ahahahaah.. S10's

Second, I swear I've seen your Mounty around town, I think I saw it the last time I was at Sheehy Ford..

Third, I HATED that vacuum 'ControlTrac' crap, I had exactly what your saying happen to me all the time, never locked in fully, was hard to get into 4x4lo etc..etc.. I swapped in a normal LimitedSlip front diff from an AWD because of it.

The only way I think you can lock those is with a Dana35 locker, but to my understanding you have to remove the vacuum crap, someone will verify that.

for future people that may use this diff in a 4406 t-cased mounty. slide the vacuum fork into 4wd and use vacuum caps on the solenoid connector...works like a charm
