As the title says, im planning on a road trip this week to WV. I have a 2001EB. 243,000Km roughly 151,000miles.
I have other vehicles i can use, but prefer to take the old daily EB!

Whats your thoughts people. it is the 4.0L with no sign of engine or trans problems.

Please give me your thoughts and stories of long drives..... Keep in mind WV is a very hilly state not the highest mountains but you always seem to be climbing or descending

I liked driving through WV, pretty girls in daisy dukes with flannel shirts holding the door for me at gas stations. I was too cheap to pay for the toll on I64 so I took US 60. The gold plated state capitol building looks great at night. A few years ago I was driving from phoenix, AZ to Oklahoma City, OK for work. About 1,000 miles each way every 2 weeks and 800 miles of city driving each week in OK. Water got in the fuel pump relay and the van died in an intersection. I didn't have a spare relay so I used a paperclip.

I made (2) one-way trips to/from Anchorage with my son in his '96 Explorer XLT (4.0 OHC) with approx. 140K miles on it when he was going to college up there a few years ago. He made a couple more with friends along. That's 3500 miles each way. Granted, about half the trip is on fairly flat or gently rolling ground but, eventually it becomes mountainous. It performed flawlessly...even when he made the leg from Anchorage to Mpls virtually non-stop.
