Hey Everybody. I'm new here, well sorta, I've been lurking for a long time. i just picked up my second explorer/Navajo. My first Navajo was just fantastic. Unfortunately rain and bald tires on a Honda totaled it. So i scored a 92 xlt 5 speed and I'm in the process with it now. So far its gotten a new radiator, water pump, and thermostat.air/oil filters, plugs and wires, and fluids. the heater bypass mod.all of the topside gaskets and injector o-rings . A new master and slave and clutch, pressure plate, rear main seal and (drum roll please) a m5od-hd. Also I've put Monroe reflexes on the front and blisteins on the back along with helper springs. In the works are front and rear brake rebuilds ball joints and new tires and manual hubs. I can't decide on stock size or 31's. Coming from the Navajo which had 4:10 gear to this which has 3:27 gears and 2 more doors its noticeably slower off the line, and i think the 31's wouldn't help that at all. but it looks so right IMHO. Anyhoo, that's a little about where I'm at with the truck. I gotta say Thanks to all those who take the extra time and effort to do write ups and take photos. The help has been much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! As a fellow owner of an ex with the 3:27 gearing, I can tell you it's going to be a dog off the line with the 31s. I agree with you on the "look". They look so much better with 33 or 35 inch tires!
