Ok so I had a day off and felt like playing with my Explorer....haha.

First I noticed I had a car alarm....just not hooked up....

So I followed the wired and found something that has nothing to do with my car alarm.

I found a wire that was apparently bypassed and it hooks into a sensor. When I pulled the wire that was bypassing the I think its a sensor, my car completely shut off. Its under my glove compartment. No idea what it does.

Another problem, my air only runs heat. I'm thinking its the blend door. But there's a series of tubes that are hooked up behind my glove compartment and the red tube is snipped.

So now that I've explained, any help? Haha. Id appreciate it.

No one knows?

umm dude, you need to chill and wait longer than 20+ minutes for someone to answer. maybe the people with the answer to your question is at work or doing other things in their life.

me, i have no answer for you, just my opinion on bumping your thread 20+ minutes after you posted. (which the rules are 1 bump every 24 hours or something like that). with the problem you are having im sure its gonna take longer than 20 mins;)

good luck w/your problem. oh, and pictures might help as well as kill sometime in waiting for a answer.

If it wasn't broke, why did you try to fix it? :P
Hook that red line up, if that doesn't work, then yes it's your blend door. Before you go messing with the alarm (oops, to late in your case) you should find out the make and model of the alarm and look up the manual online and etc. I know for my Viper 791xv in my truck it needs a bypass module, something to simulate the key being in the ignition in order for the truck to start remotely.

Where under the glove box? There is an fuel cutoff inertia switch under there that could be what you're referring to.

Paraphoe, you're right. Its was a fuel inertia cutoff switch. The wire had a short in it so I had to get a new one. That's fixed. Still can't figure out the heat issue. I went to a mech and (I live in Tennessee so we specialize in redneck mechanics.) He hooked a switch to my compressor for some reason. For my AC to work, I had to flip the switch but it still never came through the front vents. Only floor and defrost. Xplorer, I'm sorry for bumping, but trolling isn't neccessary. :) thanks for your help guys.(p.s, I'm giving up on the alrm. I'll just buy a viper. The alarms called a Argo and apparently they're not in business anymore. I couldn't find a manual. Thanks for your help though,Brad.)

Scott.

Glad you got that resolved. I've got no suggestions for you on the heat issue, sorry Brad.
