2000 Ford Explorer V8 5.0
Just registered for this site and had a few questions maybe someone can answer. I have a 2000 Explorer EB V8 5.0 AWD, I recently replaced the plugs, the wiresets, the AC Clutch, and did all the scheduled maintenance. It was running very well until 2 days ago when I went to a new Smith's gas station and put 10 gallons in of regular. The past two days my engine seems to be misfiring and it is worse from around 1500-2000 RPM's. It was very coincidental that it happened a day after a got the gas. It seems to be sputtering at all speeds, had trouble starting and just had done a complete 180 from a week ago. Could it have been the gas?? Water content, low octane?? Whjat do I do about this and if it might be something else. I hate to ask, but I am unemployed right now and can;t afford a $500 car bill. Let me know what you think?

It is possible you got some bad fuel. Try running the tank as empty as possible, and refill at another station. If the fuel is the issue, your truck should start running better soon after.
