im new to the forum!!!!!!! i just recently lost power in my explorer, or it bogged down u could say. kinda of an on and off thing, so i repleced my fuel filter and had the cat convertor checked out. after doing that i drove a few hundred feet and the problem persisted. not that it really matters but i changed my oil, changed air filter, and used a bottle of b12 chemtool the day after i got it. drove it from memphis, tn to my home in jackson, tn which about 60 miles of interstate. any help would be appreciated, i believe i need to clean or get new injector(s). if not idk. oh yeah and when it first started the check engine light came on but soon went off and now comes on kinda periodically

Get the codes pulled on the ECM for starters. O'Reilly's or Autozone will do it for free.

I would think more towards MAF sensor is dieing.

As mentioned get the code(s) read...... then go from there.

advanced said they cant read or wont on a pre obd2 vehicle. ill try oreillys and autozone and go from there. thank you!

yea i dont think any parts store will read OBD I cars or trucks..there is a really good paper clip method on here somewere its pretty easy, when it comes to nething dealing with wires on a car i am an idot and i can do it...lol:D Just saying:)

Some independent shops may be able to pull codes if you have trouble. I know of two locally that did it for me on another 94 I once owned.
