I have a 2000 X SOHC and it idles around 600 rpm when hot in P or N and 500 in drive. When I shift from drive to reverse or when I am creeeping in traffic and apply the brakes it dips to about 300 and rebounds to 500. I also get a pulsing exhaust vibration especially when it is idling in gear. I figured the IAC was the culprit for sure, but I just replaced it with a new Motorcraft unit and no change at all with the way it idles.

I have had the injectors cleaned, new plugs, new fuel filter and a recent tranny and coolant flush. I tried setting the TPS and idle as per instructions on this site and it seemed to make it worse, so I switched it back. The truck runs like a champ except for the warm idle, cold idle is OK.

Any ideas
