I am hoping to put lpg on my X but the inlet is plastic. Has anyone had any problems blowing the inlet into a million pieces and which systems do you recomend, the single or the multi. Can you buy metal inlets or is this all there is ? Any advice would be a great help.

As I understand it you must fit a multi point system and there are several UK owners who have had it done with varying degrees of success.

Hi

I had a Prins Multi-point system fitted in May and to be fair it does drop the smothness and power delivery a little but this is vastly outweighed by getting mid 30's to the gallon in real terms :o)
It cost £1500 and I should see that back in the first year ;o)

Best thing I ever did to my Ex

Hope this helps

Cheers dave that sounds good. Is that 30mpg around town or on a lomg run ??

And where did you get it done????

Come to that - is there a "list" of approved installers as recommended by the members of the forum???

LPG lancashire

I had a LPG multi point fitted 15Months ago, its been running fantastic until I put some bp gas in and it seems to have clogged up the injectors, but apart from that, 25k miles and still going strong. I agree with the other comments and it seems to be a bit uncertain on tickover and take off. I tow a 1900kgs caravan behind and it goes fantastic. Lancashire to cornwall on £50 gas and one cup full of petrol.

had mine fitted near chorley (will not recomend him for fitting, but good on setup)

Get it done professionally, even then you must get a multi system or you will damage the engine, I used a company called chelmsford autogas and have never had a problem in 25,000 miles
