Lsd???

How can i tell if my 2000 Explorer XL T has limited slip differential? I was looking into getting a spartan locker but apparently they will not fit in a limited slip differential rear end. Haven't checked any other lockers that may work with LSD. Thanks

Jack up the l/r tire, trans in neutral, park brake released, you should be able to turn the tire with a great deal of difficulty, if at all. The axle code on the door will tell you what the truck came with, but the axle could have been changed, same for the door. Dont want tojack up the truck? Go out on a gravel road, stop, nail the gas. Should turn both rear wheels. If only right side spins, nolimited slip.
