I ordered a custom-calibrated MAF from Explorer Express. I have the K&N FIPK. I installed the MAF, and all was fine. However, after driving about 10 minutes, and the Explorer came up to temperature, the check engine light came on. Went home, reset computer, and next day same thing happened. Sent it back and they exchanged it for a non-custom unit. Same problem happened. Is this a common problem, or is it something with my computer. I tried with and without my JET chip installed, but no difference. Has this happened to anyone else? I see that many people have them installed. Is there some trick to making it work?

As a side note, the folks at Explorer Express were very helpful. They exchanged the parts with no hassle. Great job.

Did you see performance gains?

MAF Performance Gains...?

Don't really know if I had any performance gains. I kept trying to get the Check Engine light from coming on. I eventually took it off and never put it back on. I'm trying to see if anyone else had this problem and how they took care of it. Also, to see what kind of MAF they used. As soon as I get it working properly I'll let you know how it does.
