Well, that would be a yes.. I put the new sensor on the truck yesterday. I had disconnected the battery while doing so.. about twenty minutes or so of screwing around with various things. I re-hooked the battery and fired it up. No CEL... cool! I took it out and ran up and down the highway and then drove to Autozone to get the codes read.. Out comes the lady with the code reader and hooks to the truck... sits there for a second and then comes up with P0172 & P0175. She says that it means in the MAF sensor.. I explained that it was new.. She then asked how long that I had the battery disconnected.. I replied that it was 20 minutes or so.. she then with a straight face said; "well thats the problem, the battery has to be disconnected for TWO DAYS" I just kind of shook my head and said.. thanks for the codes and left there... probably never to return.
I have two new O2 sensors, should I slap them in and try again, or what does the jury suggest??!?!
