I used Valvoline's SynPower Carb and TB Cleaner last week.

Initial results were kind of strange...for the first 100 miles, my gas peddle seemed stiff and the engine sounded like it was straining. I disconnected the battery when I cleaned the MAF & TB as suggested.
Could this be from the computer resetting itself after ~100 miles?

After the first 100 miles, everything has shown a noticeable improvement. Smoother idle, a bit smoother on strong acceleration, and gas mileage has increased! I never did better than 18 mpg before. I just finished my first tankful and I eeked out 20 mpg. It wasn't even all highway driving. Well worth the $1.50 for the cleaner (Pep Boys) and the 1/2 hour investment of my time. Tx for the tips guys!

After you reconnected the battery cable, did you let the truck idle for some time with all accessories off? If not, it takes longer to reset and that may be why it was weird for a while. It could've also been some residual cleaner in there somewhere. As long as it's fine now, kudos!

No, I didn't let it idle for a while with all the accesories off. Mybe that was the problem. But all is great now.
