Is it just me or do you guys love working on your truck while your modding it but find regular maintenance or problem fixing a pain in the arse?

Nah , I love it all. I wanna be one of those guys who post the 100,000 mile post. It will be a wile , I have just a little less than 80,000 yet to go , but I wanna post 100,000 and 200,000 and * gasp* 300,000.
I dunno , we'll see.

no i love doing really anything to my X, well except fixing major problems

but changing oil and little stuff like that, i love it.
and the mods, well lets not go there i might get overly extatic

Maint/Mods

I am the same way...lol. When it comes time to perform basic Maintenence....I get lazy and put it off for awhile. Only this weekend did I change my wiper blades.....they were pretty bad. The minute I buy something new (could be as insignificant as an air freshener...lol), I rush right out and put it in.

I hate working on my X. The little stuff like oil changes and basic matainence really annoy me. I think it has more to do with the fact that I have to spend every working hour of every day up to my elbows in someone elses broke crap, but when it comes time to do a mod (on mine or anyone's) I'm all for it.

mod = :bounce:
maint = :(

Ok, I thaught I was the only one for a bit.

fix it? you mean pay the dealership to stare at it for 3 days and then say "theres nothing wrong" ? I'm 90% sure theres something wrong with mine somewhere in the drivetrain, and neither I nor the dealership can find anything thats actually doing anything besides gas mileage. I've stopped modding the thing, I can't dump money into mods for a vehicle that can't keep up with a geo.

Right now theres a popping when I turn the wheel, ball joint or tie-rod. This is gonna hafta be fixed soon :(

I never do any of my own work on this thing, except simple things like audio stuff the lense chances taillighr guards, the EASY stuff. Everything else has been done by shops.

I don't like having to fix it (There's something wrong)

I love fixing it up (nothing necessarily wrong, just making it more of my vehicle).

Then again, knowing I can fix something before it becomes a major problem gives me satisfaction, and I'm :)
