make a 93 bumper into a utility bumper????

Well, has this been done, I am sure it has but has anyone done it here? This idea came to me after I dropped a 1/2 wrench on my the top of my bare foot at 1:30am today. I do not tow a lot, maybe 3 times a year. But I any lazy, do I just drill in the bumper, seal it with primer, and go? Or should it reinforce it?

what do you mean utility bumper?

also always wear shoes when working on cars i speak from experience... i was once welding and some of the spatter got on my ankle... man did that suck....

sorry for the delay Jim, by utility bumper i mean the kind that was on my old 86 mazda pick-up, it had room you three balls on the bumper, not the one that the Ex has.

If you are towing something light, I don't think it will be a problem. Good luck getting through the bumper with a drill bit that large though.....

i could, it is just that i tow so little now,

i do have all the parts and most of the bolts from my late two hitches, from a 89 buick, and a 95 ranger and i have tried and tried to fit the ranger but no luck,......

now that i think about it i can cut one down one of them, then fit it to the bottom of bumper and make a class two, hummmm.

it might be a week or two (month) but i will post pics.
