I've been searching the site quite a bit to hopefully find the differences between the Manik and Westin side/nerf bars. They don't need to be as functional as they do for looks or giving my short mother a boost into the truck. Where I live now, no one actually stocks these things and they don't know the first thing about their mount points or strengths/weaknesses. It seems from the posts I've found, people seem to agree that they're both a good product. I'm interested in the black to match the rest of the trim, although her bumpers and rear rocker trim is chrome
Just a couple questions to hopefully clear things up for me.
1. Are they both body-mount kits for the 94 Explorer?
2. How many mounts?
3. I understand Westin has a 5yr vs. 3yr warranty...
4. Strength / durability / finish for highway use (ie lots of rocks and salt) ..step durability, stuck on, drilled..
5. Finally, if anyone has any pictures on the 91-94 it would be awesome.
