Luv your website, great place for info.

I have a 94 Explorer and recently converted the auto hubs to manual. The Sales tech said I needed to keep the splined steel thrustwasher along with the retaining ring. I had to get a replacement for the washer but the store tech was unable to locate the part. From what I found on this wbsite, it doesn't look like I'm supposed to use that.

Thanks for your help.

not sure where it is on this site but you have to buy the converstion setup wich on this site is a link to another site where it is like 20 bucks or your going to pay like over 100 bucks a side at the parts store. i just did the conversion and i dont remember keeping anything from the auto lockers

When you started to take everytging apart there was a 1/2 circle clip holding a splined washer near the end. That keeps the shaft from pulling into the diff too far and disengaging the hub. You use those 2 pieces with an auto or manual hub.
