The shifter should just pop upwards after removing the bolts that attach it to the transmission housing. The clutch (if you mean the plate) just comes off after removing the bolts around it.

when you removed the shifter boot (or atleast pulled it up) and exposed the top of the trans........you should see a stud sticking througth the bottom of the sfiter with a nut on it. Remove the nut and on the opposite side of the shifter their should be some threads. Thread the nut onto this end and tighten it against the shifter, this will pull the stud through the shifter releasing it. once pulled far enough the shifter will just pull up and off the trans

ight sweet, thanks! got the tranny out, got this shifter off, got the clutch and the flywheel out, got the peddles out, of corse the master cylinder is out, anything else i will need?

the computer...i think if you dont swap it...its gunna fry from the unplugged sensors and stuff...thats what i was told in the tranny forum...

ight sweet! thanks

i helped with a swap on an 93 eddie, we used the parts from a 91 ex. He reused his 93 comp and other then an occasional check enigne he has had no hiccups yet (been a year or so since the swap) he did bypass the nuetral safety in the auto trans harness

how did he bypass it???? thats like the only reall problem i think im going to have, is the truck not wanting to start casue of the neutral safty switch, cuase i know you have to push the clutch to start it, and in an auto you have to be in neutral or park, so howd he do it?????

just hooked the right two wires together in the neutral safety pigtail, its truly not the safest way to do it, if it was my truck i would have gone the extra step and hooked up the clutch switch.............doing it this way allows you to start it in gear an dout of gear with or without the clutch pushed in

That would take a lot of work. I couldnt seem to get the clutch switch to work when i did my swap.
