manual transmission seal help

I have a 1998 explorer 4x4 with manual transmission. How hard is it to replace imput and output shaft seals and can it be done without taking the transmission apart? I am about to replace clutch slave cylinder and clutch and figure this is a good time to replace the badly leaking seals. If its an external repair I will buy them if not I am going to buy this used transmission for 450 which is less then having the work done at a shop.

nobody knows? just by looking at them it looks like I can do it without opening up the case but I am not sure

The seals could be removed either with a seal puller or a flat screwdriver. Try not to scratch the aluminum housing. New seals could be carefully driven in with a piece of pipe or a seal installation tool.
