I have 2002 Ford Explorer xls it has 215,139 miles on it. The check engine light came on and it had a bank lean code come up. I had a exhaust leak due to a flange needing to be replaced. We got the light turned off came back on with same code. Someone said to check the mass air flow sensor and it is broke we are replacing it this weekend. Is this the possible problem setting off the bank 2 lean code or is it something else. The 02 sensors have been replaced and just rechecked so I know its not those. Any ideas?

intake leak

A bad MAF sensor would affect both banks. My guess is you have a leak somewhere on the driver (bank 2) side of the intake manifold. I suggest that you check all hoses and connections to that side. If you have the SOHC V6 then you may have leaking intake manifold gaskets.
