Does anyone have a list or a link with all of the wheels off of other vehicles thatll fit the explorer, preferably mine, a 99sport 4x4.
Also anything that has a 5x4.5 will fit right?

Yeah, 5x4.5

Ranger
Escape
BII
J**p Wranglers

..anyone want to add?

Sorry I don't have a link to give you, but no, not everything with that bolt pattern will fit. AFAIK some wheels won't have a big enough center to clear the front hubs on the 4x4s. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

winstar, taurus, sable - I belive there's a few others

Thunderbird, Cougar, Nissan Quest, Merc Villager, Lincoln MkVII and the above mentioned all have 5 on 4.25. They are a biiioootch to find rims for. When we bought my wife her Taurus a couple of years ago, I made sure I liked the wheels on it because I knew this, and they made even less aftermarket wheels back then.

mustangs? any with an 8.8 I guess?

My buddy bought a set of aftermarket Mustang rims for his Ranger and they didn't fit, the bolt pattern matched up but the front hub stuck out too far for him to put the center cap on it.

However, I sold another buddy my stock Mustang 16's from my 99 and they fit his 96 Ranger no problem, and they looked pretty good too.

Mazda truck wheels will fit, and they have the exact same specs (backspacing, hub dia, etc) as the Explorer. Much better looking designs too, if I may say so.....

it depends on what tbird u are talkin about, anly the way old t birds have the right bolt pattern. taureses and sables have there own bolt paterns

all the cars mentioned have the same bolt pattern - but you'll run into things like hub spacing and other type things that will keep you from using them (offset and backspacing is the most common probably). Most mustang wheels on Explorers need(ed) spacers.

As far as I know, I have not seen a t-bird with a 5 on 4.5. What year was it? They were 4 lug up to about '89-'90, then they went to 5 lug but it was 5 on 4.25(same as taurus/sable/windstar/villager/quest). up to 97 when they were discontinued. Is it the '02+ Thunderchicken that has 5 on 4.5?

Ok, so what will fit an 92 X 4x4????and from what years????Somehow I can't see mustang,taurus,sable,windstar rims fitting a 4x4 hub.

I think you can get a Mustang on with an adapter. The bolt pattern is 5lug on 4.5". You will need a wheel adapter from some place like Maximum Motorsports, I am not sure what size, but they have up to 2". If it comes to a clearance issue with the center hole, take it to a machine shop somehere and have it honed out a little bit if needed. I hope this helps.

the way old t birds were 5 on 4 1.2 up to 79 i believe was the last year. the best year for wheels was the 84/84 dodge ramcharger that had 5 on 4 1/2 with a 15x8 with 4in back spacing. i think as far as the best wheels are the newer explorer wheels. 95 and above were the best years

Spas threw some mustang cobra R's on Blackjack and they fit perfect. Look damn good if I may say so.

Just make sure you check the backspacing. And car wheels may not fit with the explorer's larger brakes.
