Max Tire Size 08 Explorer 18"

I've been offered free 255 70 18 bridgestones. Any chance I can squeeze them under my stock 08 limited with the factory split spoke wheels, with a little plastic trimming/shaping at most? Or will they likely hit control arms etc?

According to what others have posted and the rire size calculator you should be able to fit them without issue. Free is free, worst case turn around and trade them for a closer size.

Wise guy-what tires did you specifically use? I'm looking for some that are a little more aggressive... Terra Grapplers, Wranglers, BFG all terrains on the stock 18's that markoesc has above in his pics.

I see granadojl and marcoesc said they put that size on, but after looking under my 07 Ex I'm concerned with the top control arm in the front. I'm shocked there are no issues rubbing. Does anyone have any pictures they could post or email to me? Thanks a bunch guys.

I have 275/65 R18 tires on my 2006 Eddie Bauer. No rubbing.

I have a 2007 Ford explorer sport Trac limited V8 4x4 want to put 275 65 r18 will I need spacers or no

I've got Goodyear Trailmarks on my '06, 265/70/17. They rub a little in the back of the front wheel wells at full lock but it's inaudible, and minor to me. No lift, but my struts/shocks are due for replacement soon, so....

Been kicking around the idea of a strut spacer but probably won't. Have no desire or funds right now to run a larger tire. It's my daily/kid hauler, so the only time 4x4 gets used is when it's snowy, or there's been heavy rains and the roads are ****.
Sorry about the dirt, I do wash it occasionally, but live in the country so it never stays clean for long LOL.

I had it in the shop because fuse 18 was blown and I finally decided to do something about it. Easy fix, a blown 10 amp fuse was all that was keeping my ABS, 4x4, and heated seats, compass, and auto dim mirror from working. Easy win. Pretty happy lol. I was set for an afternoon of checking ABS sensors and rings to see if that was the cause.

Anyway.....
