Currently have p245-65-17 tires, thinking about going up to p265-70-17 tires...anyone know if these will "rub"? It'll add roughly 2 inches to the entire diameter and 1 inch to the width.

Thanks...new guy here in case my rookie question didn't give it away.....

I think a 2" taller tire will not only have clearance issues, but could cause problems with the computer/abs system. My preference would be a tire as close as possible to original diameter with approx. 1" increase in width.
Just my opinion. My stock 235/65/18 tires will occasionally rub when at full lock.

I am running 265/60-18, but I know someone here is running 275's. But Like Bill said, the height is more crucial then width.

thanks

Very helpful guys. Much appreciated. Think I'm going to go 265/65/17 which will increase with by 0.8 inches and increase diameter by 1.02 inches.

We'll see....

285 60/18

I have a 2006 eddie bauer and am running 285-60-18 coopers with no issues. They fill out the fender wells perfect.

I know this is super old and that you said there were no issues, but does, (or did), it rub at any point?

I ran 245/75-17 KO2's on stock rims with no issues. About same diameter but not as wide. Later added 3"/ 2" leveling lift. Have about 40k miles on the tires now, when time to replace will probably go to 265/70-17.
