Metric to Miles

I am a new 2002 Explorer XLT owner just learning all there is to know about my new/old ride which I am presently rehabilitating.

Can anyone help me discover how to change my odometer from kilometers to miles?

Do you have the LED information screen to the right of the steering wheel?
Press "information" and then "Reset" when prompted
Then just follow the directions.
You will come to a screen where you can choose metric or miles.

Thanks for your suggestion which I tried without success.

Apparently, the only functions available on a Canadian model Explorer metric information center to the lower right of the steering wheel, are the current distance traveled in kilometers, a trip distance setting also metric which can be reset to 0 by pressing the stem button, a compass which on my Explorer is presently stuck on N or NE, and the outside air temperature.

Any other suggestions.

Might this be programmable via access to the OB Computer?

Would my Ford dealer be able to make this change?
