...Don't quote me on this but I had heard the Mile markers had a problem catching fire when being used...Some type of electrical problem I think...I know there had been a few post about them in the last year or so...Might be worth looking into first..

My Buddies Mile Marker 8K winch has been put through alot (hard pulls, under water, mud etc) and seams to keep on working.. Although his 1st MM ate itself during a leisurely ride one day.. See Mile Marker winch eats itself
