Where is the best place to get replacement mirror glass from? Obviously not Ford as they are only able to get ahold of the whole unit to sell you at 201.00.

I have heard Halfords mentioned in the past, does anyone know the model no. of the glass that fits?

pm chrisquelch for spares ,very good prices

I got mine from Halfords. Just £3.49, yes you do have to order it. Just pop in and they will get one for you.

Nope I peeled the broken off and cleaned up the back plate to remove residual glue. Glass comes with self sticky pad on the rear, just peel and stick.

My mirror glass fell out of the mirror unit, and one of the plastic yellow tabs is broken, so as a result when i put the mirror glass back in the up and down movement does not work any more.

Would halfords sell these, or do i have to find a complete unit to fix the problem?

I doubt it, as far as I know they only do the glass. I suspect that the mechanism is fairly common among Fords, so maybe any breakers yard could help you, or dare I say dealer (cough).

YUup that a bugger when your winder is gone!!

YOu can get the bits as Howard said from a breakers- I know this is a little sad- but...by the time you find one and take it apert and have soent the fuel and effort- ------I paid 50 quid and got a replacement mirror, the whole gig!

That is if you cant pocket the bit on the sly when you get to a breaker who has an Ex!

Or maybe ask Duncan!
