Rick, can't you just have the main leaf replaced, or replace it yourself? Sounds like it would be a lot cheaper than a complete one.

You could always just duct tape it too :D

I don't know why I didn't think of just having the segment replaced:confused: Too much stuff going on:banghead:

I think it cost $80 last time. Much better...

saturday i think we're in for 4-5

im not sure how many people were going to be bringing, depends on how serious our friends are about "oh dude yeah i'll go"

Opps guess i haven't been paying attention to this lately:o

Rick,I vote duct tape. :DTrail fix:thumbsup:

I have to replace both universals on the rear driveshaft. They really started acting up in Big Bear. Now every time I put the clutch in you hear the clank clank. Oh well 5 years and all the wear and tear it's pretty good they lasted this long.

The other item on the to do is my ARB locker. The compressor is locked and won't work, I guess I'll either have it reworked or just buy a new one.

The same reason we replace things that break with beefier more expensive stuff. But sometimes you have to just fix what's broken to get you bye until you have the money for better stuff.

Glad I could be of assistance. It's that work smarter, not harder life the navy has intilled in me.

You forgot the bailing wire. wrap the spring in bailing wire and hold the wire with duct tape. didn't you learn anything in the navy. jeeze squids :dunno::scratch::scratch:

Tim

I am probably the only one that still carries a spool of bailing wire in my tool box. I haven't used it for a trail fix since I had a dirt bike and the mufler fell off, but ass soon as I don't have it I am sure I will need it.:D

That reminds me, I need to replace my roll of duct tape in the Ex. I used it for something in the house.

I have no 4wd in my explorer. This is not a good time to be without it. I am tempted to bring my F350, but it is just so dang long, I don't think it will fit or have the break-over angle I'm looking for. But that granny gear would be awesome....... hhhhmmmm, probably still no for the F350. I'll let you know if I can get the ex' going soon.

I wouldn't worry about the F350. I will bring my 95 Suburban(open/open) if something happens to the Ex with in the next 25 or so days.

Tim

please oh please let me get my truck done in time

I picked up a steering column from junk yard, I have the parts to rebuild my Superrunner, and the shop called my ARB should be fixed by Friday!
I won an Ebay auction for a 96 Mustang floor shifter and cable

I pick up a transmission pawl (96 mustang) from Ford today.
If my transfer case is okay it should be no problem having the BII on the trail this weekend....

fingers crossed.....

Seems like a few months ago we were running Tellico - - actually its been SIX years! ! !

Never too late to make some last minute flight plans - - sure they'll be a seat open somewhere, and like the Woodpecker Trail, I'll probably need someone to hike my winch cable up the hill! :D

Anybody else on the pre-moab truck maintence rush?

I took a couple things off my front end to paint last night and replace some bushings. Goal is to have it cleaned up, repainted and back together by Saturday night with new radius arm bushing, u-joints, seals, etc. My seat harnesses came in yesterday too, so that will make it driveable. Maybe even a test run by the end of the weekend.
