Is there any way besides a body lift to get around the rubbing of 31" tires against the fender. ie bigger shocks/leaf springs in the back. I am more concerned for the front when you turn. I own 98 explorer and would like to get 31 underneath before having to put on a body lift. Is this possible?

Look for the stickies on lifts and tire sizes in a search. I don't have a BL (yet - cause my tires are going bigger  ) and I'm running 31's. Torsion Twist (TT) and shackles are all you need. Cheap, easy, no prob.

(Some guys have had a small amount of rubbing - depends on the actual vehicle in some cases, not enough "job 1" in the factory tolerances by Ford maybe?)

I actually have room for 32's with no rubbing and no BL AND I still have all my factory airdams and facia's.

yup, the TT twist with some add a leafs or a warrior shackle will solve any of your problems for cheaper than a body lift too

Thanks Guys that what I am going to do.

you should be fine with 31's... I have 32's at stock height and only required some slight trimming.
