No

It is actually a very common practice around here, as with most vehicle's utelizing a air box.

Not only does it let a little more air in, but it also pulls it from higher up helping to keep the water out of your intake, if any splashes up there, the water should drain back out through your holes in the box.

Does it have to do with inspection

No, the Swiss air box won't affect inspection or emissions.

Your PCM/EEC (computer) will adjust the fuel-air ratios appropriately.

Take this a step further and invest in a K&N drop in filter, (or go with the KKM or FIPK) then a larger MAS, then a larger Throttle Body, then a performance chip, then a good cat-back exhaust (not necessarily in that order but do them all).

You will get, improved performance and better gas mileage.

:burnout:

...or save up and get a V8 and really feel the difference. putting all ^that in a '91? hmm, do not expect much improvement or you will be disappointed.

nah i got a k&N but my trannys...####ed...

seals are blown

but im still driving it
