Monoleaf replacement suggestions? what to do?

it has been said and done so let's do it again..... I need to get rid of my monoleaf quick, I mean real quick. I'm talking about a 98 Sport suspension here. What do I replace it with? I need to put a regular set-up in there and add-a-leaf at the same time. I need my truck to stop bouncing up and down. Will the 98 4 door work on Sport? any other years of Sport compatible? I just need some advise from people that have done it.

yup, go to a salvage yard and find some 98-01 4 door leafs. also (if you can) try and get the spring plates from a 4 door there dif sizes. just take off the old ones and slap on the new ones. no more moon bounce!! good luck!

that bounce makes me sick to my stomach............ now, what's different between 4 and 2 door????? spring plates? I don't thing I'll have to worry about it if I just simply replace the complete set-up including shackles and all.......

am I right?

well, yes and no. dont worry about the spring plates, im an idiot there is no dif between the two, i think. you wont have to replace the shackles, the only thing you really have to replace is the mono-leafs. just make sure when you put on the new leafs you got the top of the nut on the leafs in the holw in the spring plate. if that makes any sense i can show you some pics of what happens when you do it wrong. also if you want any further explanation just ask.

well, I'll put an add-a-leaf in it at the same time. I've done it before..... I just needed to know if it's a straight swap or custom mods might be necessary. Thanks a lot!!

You could take it to a spring shop and have them put in 1 full legnth add a leaf. It will stiffen it up and you wont have four leafs in there. Then you could take out those spacers that are in sports and it would cause you to have more ground clearance with the shock mounts.
