haha..

i've heard of it being done.. never seen it (the mayo on paint, not puke on tires). i hate mayo so you don't have to worry about me trying that one. mayo is some nasty crap.

i agree with deagledave... give him a break. he just offered tips, whether they work or not.

the denture stuff may work, as long as it doesnt' react with aluminum. we used to put borax or any powdered dishwashing detergent in and drive it for a day or two before flushing the system. never had any side effects. someone said do that so we tried it. i don't know if it was smart, but it didn't hurt anything.

Or heck in Colorado right now you can go "paint the lawn" no kidding people are doing it, 10 cents a square foot for a nice dark green bio-degradable paint.

Please go try the peanut oil and vinegar trick! PLease! I wont somebody who posts on this board often to go try it and post results. I never said it wont work, I;m just skeptical.

Now the mayo thing is just gross.

I have used calgonite to clean copper radiators out before, not while they were in the truck, but if you soak em it will breathe new life into an otherwise clogged radiator....

But again there are products out there made to do this that have been tested so why risk it?

I really want to know if this peanut oil thing works!!!
Somebody go try it!! :)

I agree with that.

But I have heard that mustard and hot dog buns work well cleaning almost anything...sorta like that Oxyclean stuff.:p

Sorry....it's just been one of those days...no disrespect meant towards anyone.

This thread seems to have brought many opinions, some of which even I find humorous. LOL

Please understand, that they are only tips. I never meant to ruffle anyones feathers...

As for the Mayo Tip, it really isnt that bad - it goes on oily, hence the shine! I like it because mayo costs 1.49 and in my opinion works better than Turtle Wax or some of the others. For those of you who have actually waxed a car using over the counter products - you may remember it is quite a workout! Mayo goes on very smoothly and buffs out to a brilliant shine with no muscle or elbow grease being used!

And 4 those of u who care...

Another Tip -

Instead of paying all that money for Tire Shine in a can, all you need are a few paper towels and 1 cup of Vegetable oil!

Apply an even coat of Vegetable Oil to your tires and walk away. Look at that shine would you!!!

there ya go folks....this last one won't screw up your engine and worst case you have shiny tires for a while.

I like that one, plus you can go make popcorn with your tire greese afterwards. :)

Wouldn't that attract all kinds of road drit and grime?

Who cares it shine's!

steveissteven - How often are you supposed to run the peanuit oil solution through your gas tank? do u think once a week would be too often>?

Where do I buy Bon Ami At?

Thankls

Sincerely,

The KinG

I would say once a month is fine!

Bon ami can be found at any Grocery store

More Peanut Oil / More Performance

More Vinegar / Better at removing Carbon and Gunk

A 50/50 solution is idea!

Note that Peanut Oil is Safe!!!

The Diesel, or compression ignition engine was invented by Rudolph Diesel a German inventor born in 1858. When he exhibited his engine in the 1900 World's Fair, it was running on peanut oil.

You know what works best on our big tires? A nice stiff brush and some elbow grease. That shiny stuff just makes it sticky and ugly. Soap and water, down with armorall!!!

just my 02. :) Sorry I know I'm "wordy" (as gerrald puts it)

So can I dump diesel gas in my 4.0L OHV too? How about a glow plug? What brand of peanut oil do you reccommend once a month?
