Reason being....

Burned cleaner / less polutants and burned more efficiently

Do you have any wild animals chewing on your tires or licking your car because you have mayo all over it?

I dont know about you guys but i paid $27,000 back in the day for my 99. Words cant describe how crazy these idea's sound. Some of these guys wonder about what octane to use and worry if they are destroying their engines using the wrong octane. Then we have people pouring peanut oil and other items in thier tank? Does anyone have enough balls to actually try this? I am curious to try this on my neighbors lawnmower to see if it still runs.

I believe you that opeanut oil will not hurt anything, heck I can put all sorts of crap in my gas tank in small quantities and it wont hurt anything, until over time.

Now I have a little experiment to try, get a glass jar pour in some gas, then pour in some peanut oil and vinegar. Lets see if the peanut oil even goes anywhere but to the top of the gas, meaning it's never even getting sucked into the fuel pump unless you run the tank almost dry......

Stevie I am glad you are finding this humerous, I dont want to make you mad or think I am calling you a liar or anything I just have a lot of time on my hands right now (slow) and I am, like I said before, hard to convince until I see proof, not hearsay......I mean you've been on Ebay right? I can claim anything I want and sell it, but I have never seen peanut oil and vinegar bottled up in a fuel treatment at the parts store......

how much different could this peanut oil mixture be that ATF? if nothing else think about consistency of the fluid. And i KNOW that ATF runs through with no problems.

It's cool! No problems man, I said it before, maybe it does work but I;m not gonna try it, my 4.0L runs perfect with the fuel treatments I have grown to trust, like red line and BG. I am VERY picky about what I put in my engine, I like to see results and numbers before I do it, thats why I change my mobil one synth every 3000 miles religiously always run at least 91 octane, some people say thats a waste (mostly my old man) but I dont think it's a waste when my 2.9L had 180K miles on it and looked and ran like it was new, the injectors still sprayed a perfect jet.

So I will try my little peanut oil and gas mixture experiment, I'm just worried mostly about whats left in the tank and filter when you are done. Why not inject the peanutoil right into the intake manifold?Or use seafoam? where do the carbon deposits go once they are loose? You know you can use water in the intake to accomplish roughly the same thing, and good injector cleaner for the fuel system.

This just raises too many questions for me without actual labratory tests being performend, thats all.

yeah i've wanted to try that sea foam experiment but i'm sure i'd piss off the neighbors when i start blowing clouds of smoke out of my exhaust for five minutes....

Thats what empty parking lots on the weekends are for.

At least Sea Foam comes with instructions and has been developed and tested in gas engines

Okay... I have just left the kitchen

I actually took your advice 410Fortune

Took some gas from the mower (only about 1/4 gallon) and mixed in a generous amount of peant oil and vinegar

The oil did seem to settle slowly, but did mix fairly well

The smell was hideous however and I had to promptly take the bucket outside

Not sure what it is doing, but It appears to be foaming over with a God Awful Stench

Im not so sure I will use it in the future

Who knows, it looks as if it is Power Cleaning

I will update later.... neeed to get some fresh air

Wow! You want that going on in your gas tank, pump, and filter? Now I have to try this!!!!!

Oh and remember everything ahead of the tank is pressurized, so even more crazy things could happen!!!

I'm gonna use a glass jar when I get home and see what happens. Kinda like going back to science class!!!

Hope it doesnt have the same effect as bleach and ammonia mixing together. Anyone still know if he is still alive?

How much of the fumes did you inhale? Have you noticed any new limbs growing from your armpits? Or hair growing in places it wasnt before? You should try using that mixture around the house to see what other good uses you can find.

When dad got his 94 Dakota the PO tried to get it to pass emissions by putting a couple gallons of Diesel in it, suprise suprise it failed worse than before. Told the PO that it was not a good idea, we got it to pass by fixing some bad vacuum lines and running a bottle of injector cleaner through it.

I've also heard pantyhose makes a good emergency belt.

Transmission fluid had high detergent content so it cleans as it goes which is why working with tranny fluid leaves your hands a lot cleaner than motor oil.

Man, I can't beleive I am at the end of this thread, this is just too funny, hey 410 did you ever run your experiment?
On a serious note, mixing in a quart of tranny fluid with engine oil will help free up sticky lifters, after about 50 miles change the oil, I wouldn't leave it in too long. It's not mayo, but only tip I got.
