More suspension travel? Better ride?

Hey guys, I have 2 questions, first, is it possible to get more suspension travel(Lifting it is certainly okay) out of an 04 ex? Second, whether yielding more suspension travel or not, what do you do to get better ride?

Fox seems popular. I'm not the one to ask unfortunately. They are expensive though. Rancho makes some struts but I think I read here they don't last long.

Here's a link to a thread by SUL73NAZ, who I believe was the first to get coilovers from ADS for a 3rd Gen.

Note - he has aftermarket fender flares too; those aren't a necessary part for the coilovers, but they help him avoid contact between the fenders & larger tires with more travel.
