I had a engine shock on my '91 and dont have one on my '92. For those who are not sure, its a little gas shock that goes from the frame to the motor, I think to the power steering pump mounting bracket.
Anyways, I thought this was a recall item, I seem to remember reading that customers were complaining of excessive engine vibration when they were new. I looked at ford recalls and dont see anything about this on the list.
Can I buy a new kit somewhere, or do I need to try to find one in a junkyard? If so, the shock would be worn out probably, so can I buy the cylinder by itself somewhere? Thanks!

remove it and be happy without it.

Its not needed IMO

It is a band aid from ford and there is a reason it dissapeared in 93+

I agree, it's unnecessary and it's just going to be a lot of trouble to find and install a part that most likely won't give any noticeable difference. I'd bet the only place to get one new and not worn out is the dealership, too. Money better spent on other things, IMO.
