Did a search, no help.

2017 Ford Explorer Sport. I want to replace the rear brake pads with OEM Motorcraft pads. Looking at Rock Auto, they list two different part numbers with identical descriptions.

BRF1967 (FG1Z2200B) $56.79
BRF1539 (FG1Z2200A) $63.79

Both are listed as "OE design, rear w/ heavy duty calipers"

I also spent some time using Google and I wasn't able to get a clear answer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Tony

Did you check places like FordPartsGiant, TascaParts, LakelandFordParts, ...? Did you search those PNs on Amazon/eBay to compare applications & photos? Did you look at the current pads so you know their shape? On some of my older trucks, the pad sets have various PNs because some come with clips, and some are SD.

Yes, all three of those came up but it just all seemed contradictory. I could check Amazon and eBay but I don't really trust their accuracy.

I don't trust any one site (not even Ford); but if I see the same thing on several, I begin to believe it. Especially if the eBay listings have actual (not stock) photos. There are usually a few factory options depending on vehicle package, and there may also be improved parts after production stops, resulting in several choices of genuine PNs. You just have to do some research.
