Hi Guys
I have a friend that has a 06 Mountaineer AWD 4.0 L v6. It will not crank over. The battery is good, the fuses are good, put a new starter on it and a neutral safety switch in it. When you turn the key there is dash lights. When trying to crank it the dash lights goes out. The is no clicking at all. The shift cable got bent. I haven’t hooked the shift cable back up yet. My friend ordered a new cable. Would you guys have any idea what could be wrong?
Thank you

Have you checked the battery cables? They will corrode internally and its hard to tell, but they won't put enough current through them to start the engine.

Check the numerous ground connections too. Are any codes being thrown?

I will check the battery cables. There is no codes. One thing we did try was jumping the starter over. It did crank but didn’t start.
