Must answer phone with car

If I answer the phone by clicking on my phone itself (and not using myfordtouch or the steering wheel), it connects the call and shows it connected in the car but there is no sound...I have to switch to "privacy mode" so I can talk on the phone. If I answer with the car instead, it all works oK.

Anyone had this problem?

What brand/model of the phone would that be? And has it ever worked the way you want it to?

I'm using a Droid Razr Maxx HD. I've only had the phone for a month so I haven't really noticed...but i thought it worked correctly before
