I read on TheRangerStation.com that Mustang bucket seats are a direct bolt in for Rangers. Is this true for Explorers as well?

well assuming the ranger seats were the same... I really dunno what the seats were like that year for a ranger.. did they specify which year stang seats swap in?

you got to have more info than that..... what year Ranger and what year stang... that would be helpful.... from that point on all you'd have to do is visit some junk yards in search of some seats.....

what's the advantage of having the stang seats installed in the "X" though?

I don't think that would be to comfortable since the mustang seats sit so low, you maybe looking through the steering wheel!

Maybe they bolt to the seat mount and would sit up higher. You could always make your own mount.

Yes, on the site they say the Mustang seats with bolt to the Rangers seat tracks. Hopefully they will fit Explorer tracks as well.

I think...

If I rember there is a thing on seats over at http://www.therangerstation.com/ It should say which seats will do a direct bolt on too you track and think they will.;)

OK I'm stupid !

I didn't read the part where you got the info from in the first place:banghead:
