My 1997 Aerostar moans when I turn the steering wheel.

howdy brothers, I'm a newbie in need of your knowledge. Just aquired a '97 Aerostar awd. 125k, Postal turn-out. Problem is when I turn left or right, forward or reverse, I hear an off-set moaning/rubbing. Thinking rear diff. seals/bearings or could it be my TC ? Appreciate any input. Thanks

Welcome to the site. I can't imagine the torque converter being the culprit for such a noise. Could be wheel bearings. Maybe you could get someone to listen from outside of the vehicle to help determine whether it's coming from the front or rear and which side.
