The other day we were driving in a rainstorm and the wipers went out, after checking many things it turned out to be a fuse that was actually causing the problem. I decided to change all the fuses since the one for the wipers tested good and was not broken. Well this led to the second problem! It seems there was a recall on this model for a cruise control relay switch, which when I changed the fuse (which was also good) for it it started smoking and blew the fuse. We left it out and took the ride to the dealership today where they replaced the sensor and the battery terminals and ran a full diagnostic test on it that showed no problems. Drove it home with no problems then went to get back in it this evening and nothing! It won't even turn over! Any thoughts or ideas?

Check you wires down on the starter also.

Jumped Solenoid.......

After going over everything I finally jumped the two poles on the solenoid, the starter would spin but not engage.

Bad starter???

On a positive note: I am very glad I found this forum!

Well it wasn't the starter!

Starter replaced and still not starting!

If your starter is spinning and not engaging are you sure the flex plate still has teeth? Does the starter still have teeth? Is the starter wired correctly (+ to + - to -)? If all those are good then the starter is bad. Pinion isn't pushing away
