My 2000 Explorer runs rough.

hi all,hope you can help,I have a 2000 explorer.The trans cooler lines in the rad leaked resulting in strawberry milkshake but did'nt over heat.Anyways, new rad fitted and auto trans reconditioned but runs rough similar to a missing cylinder.fitted new leads and plugs,changed oil and filters oil,air and fuel,reconnected battery and ran a1 for 10 seconds then went back to running rough.went to garage they changed top and bottom manifold gaskets ,damaged egr gasket,cleaned throttle housing and maf.ran vaccum tests all tested at 21.[ no warning light comes on dash]Only codes are lean mixture and misfire cylinder 4.When i got ti home i disconnected battery overnight on reconnection the engine ran great for 10 seconds then ran rough.This only seems to have started since the rad change and gearbox recon although mechanic seems to think that work had previously been carried out possibly to rectify problem.Hope someone can help as repair costs are now more than vehicle cost and i do like the explorer,cheers col

Check fuel pressure. Replace fuel filter. Run some seafoam. Compression test. Clean IAC and MAF. Check air filter as well.
