Hello. New to site. Looking for answers to problems with 96 xlt with 4.0 that check eng. light is on. Originally it was a lean condition, replaced plenum gaskets. Next was a 401, replaced DPFE sensor. Good for a couple of days. Now have a 402 code. Found another leak a intake, the seal from egr tube. Fixed that leak. Could the egr vacume solenoid be culprit for 402, notice vacume at idle, about 1 to 2 hg, I know egr is closing properly, and is clean, had it out more then once in the last week. Also noticed now that the IAC makes a loud humming noise when gets very hot, not sure if this can cause excessive egr. Please advise. By the way, vehicle has 150,000, thanks.
