My baby made it home!!!!!

It's a nice amp cosmetically and when it does work it's also good.

Power wise it doesn't put out enough juice and Alpine amps are known to unexpectedly blow.

I agree with you to a point. There lower end stuff does have problems. I've never heard of one blowing up though.

That Stang has been in comp. for 3 years running. Its all Alpine beside the 14 volt battery and we've never had a problem with any of it.

Nice job man!!! Good install too!!!

Yeah the Rux-Remote is going to come in handy as I plan on running 3 more of the MRD-M1000 and I haven't decided on which amp for my highs but its nice knowing I can hook up 8 Alpine amps to that one remote.

$900 MSRP for an amp that is only stable down to 2 ohms, rated at 14.4 volts and only puts out 1000 watts? Please tell me you somehow managed to pay no more than than $200 for this.

Well, for that price he could have gotten a JL Audio 1000/1. It is a much better amp and is guaranteed to put out at least 1000 watts RMS at ANY voltage. It also has some of the best built-in crossovers on the market.

Guarnteed??? Did you design it??? Didn't think so.;)

I'm not a fan of JL and I never will be. Products suck and warranty isn't there strong point. I take that back.....the W-7s are cool.

This amp was designed for a 2 ohm load. So by your standereds I'm gaurnteed 1000 watts. By what I saw today on the meter its actually 1091 watts at 14.1 volts at 2 ohms. Bridged at 2 ohms it went to 1913 watts at 14.4 volts. Hhhmmm sounds like a good amp to me.:D

From looking at the manual here

the input IS analog. It converts to digital afterwards though. I fail to see the point.....

You fail to see the point in going into digital!?!

Why do you think this amp creates so much power. Digital signals are more cleaner and powerful then that analog crap.

This amp was just released. Just wait until you hear it. I'd put this amp up against any other out there. Theres only one amp I can think of that would beat this amp. Lightning Audios X2000.1. That won't be released but we have 2 of them in a Tahoe running 2 15" Alpine Type Rs hittin 154.7 db.

Just food for thought.:D

Just so you know, the JL Amps have triple voltage rails so that they CAN provide the rated power at any voltage. You should be a little more diplomatic in your responses. As far as warranty, they have an excellent warranty. I blew my 4 channel by running a screw through the power wire and not noticing it until it fried my amp. They repaired the amp no questions asked and it was less than a week from the time I sent it out to the time I got it back.

You are not going to get that amount of power at 4 ohms. With a JL amp you will!

I was only speaking from my knowledge and experience and not trying to put down your amp. Alpine amps are decent.

I'm following you guy. But for my price I get more power and its from a company I trust. You like JL......I like Alpine. Two different companies, two different designs. I wanted this amp because its the first true digital amp. The only one on the market.

I've got a 5 channel V12 in my truck running all my mids and tweets and my 12 at 2 ohm. I got it for cheap! about 4 years ago, its not hte most powerful amp I have had but it works and sounds great, and has proven to be trouble free and durable......

I like Alpine amps and headunits, everything else they sell lacks in my opinion. they do have good alarms!!!
