Welcome to the site, there are a few ladies here but we are just as nuts about our Explorers as the guys are about theirs.

I know what it's like to be a single mom, I'm 49 and never been married, with 2 girls, 14 & 21.........the Explorer I have is the first vehicle I can really call my own. Last year, I was driving a 92 Explorer that my brother bought for my use. After 2 transmissions going in it and stuff rusting out, last February, I took $4,000 of my $5,500 tax refund and bought my beautiful 98 Sport.....it was love at first sight for me too

Yeah my X was also purchased with income tax money. It's about the only time of year that I feel like I can have anything! You can't really tell in the photos but it's hunter green. I'm going to plug up my laptop and see if I can't get some better quality pics.

I have a quasi-mechanical question. On the very back of my truck it says sport trac under explorer. What exactly does that entail? Is it some kind of special 4x4 action or does that just explain the "auto" setting on my 4x4?

No, not YET. That's next on my list, wow how do you guys read minds? I'm always shopping for a little fixer-uper boat deal. I live about 15 minutes from laurel lake, 30-40 minutes from lake cumberland. I think I was raised underwater. That's funny you mention that, my dad first decided to get an explorer to pull the family boat back in 91! His old truck was failing him.
