My Ford touch + iphone (or ipod)

Hmmm,

So did anyone ever figure out how to get iphone 4 contact photos onto the myFord touch.

I've been reading up and it's just this floundering issue for many with no real solutions posted yet.

I heard about trying to sync facebook photos to your contacts and then "entering them manually," but the OP never wrote back to clarify his process.

I got gummed up with step 1. Facebook contact syncing failed to work, so I'm wondering if anyone has worked around this and then would be kind enough to explain how, in detail, like we were all fourth graders.

Update:

I was finally able to sync the facebook contacts, but this still did not resolve the issue.

OK, I use a iphone with sync and its a bit of a pain.

Here is what I've discovered.
- iPhone does not support moving your contact photos over to the sync system. Supposedly it required a bluetooth mode that iphone doesn't support. Blackberry phones do support it.

- When I first got the car, the bluetooth audio worked. I upgraded my phone to 4.3 and now it doesn't. Support says I need to pull the fuse and reset the sync system but I'm not going to do that. I looked and its a real pain to get to the fuse box. I'll wait until I take the car in for v2.7 upgrade. It still works in USB mode but you can't use the phone to control the ipod. You have to disconnect it, choose your playlist and then plug it back in. Once connected, the forward to next track button works on the touch screen.

- The iPhone works great with the hands free and voice dialing. I'm surprised how good the quality is. It almost never makes me say a person's name twice.

- I tried to move photos for wallpaper from a USB stick over to the sync system. Saved them in JPG format of under a Meg and at the right aspect ratio but they don't show up on the screen. I can download them and the sync system says they are installed but I just get a black screen. Frustrating. Support says it should work.
