My gauge shows that my driver side door is open

I need help guys, my gauge shows that the door is still open when its already closed. what seems to be the problem? the sensors?

I had this same problem in my 2002 Mustang GT. It would also cause the interior dome light to stay on. Someone suggested to me to spray some white lithium grease in the latch sensor in the door, and wouldn't you know, that fixed it!

Spray WD40 into the latch mechanism of each and every door/hatch opening. This is a very common issue. In fact, I bet if you just search "WD40" on this forum, you will see this issue comes up a lot
