My gear select is broken, pix inside

Hi, this morning, I try to move my gear from P into R, half way thru R, the handle broke off, I remove the boot and I think it broke off, something look like a circle part, ( I think it not metal, I think it made out off some cheap metal ). sorry my english is bad. Let me break it down.

I pull the gear handle backward to me, so I select a gear, as soon I pull the handle back, it broke. and I think it broke where the circle part, where U need to pull backward to be able select a gear. thanks

Sorry did not mean to be short. The search does bit on here I have trouble with it to.

I read the thread and basicly I need a whole new steeling colim ? can I just replace the shifter ? thanks
