Yeah Very Nice!! You will love the 32's and then it will just be a matter of time, you will say, how can I fit 33's... Lookin Good Noob!

Got my tires mounted. One of them took 14oz to balance....wtf? Is that normal? Rim was not bent.

Any vibrations? If so, then the rim wasn't on the balancer right, which happens.

I have purchase ALOT of tires over the years. Re: ounces, I am not sure I have ever asked or been told. I have never had any of my wheels balanced with the wheel weights on the outside of the rim. I do remember one of the wheels over the years needed a decent amount of stick on weights over the other 3. And I have had a few wheels mis-balanced as well. I wont let any tire place mount my wheels on the vehicle either.

You guys would have loved this... In fact I should've took pictures. Since my truck isn't drivable at the moment ( no seats and cluster out ... Ect ect...) I took my little Suzuki wagon and loaded 3 tires inside and strapped 2 tires to the top of the car! I got lots of looks on my way to the tire shop.

Sounds awesome. In fact, you should recreate the scene and then photo it for us. :D

Go forth!

Look at that big beautiful ass!

Oooooh! Rear discs! What's in the pumpkin?

Nothin exciting yet....stock 3.73. I was going to go ahead and do the lift for the next project but I think I'm going to get the engine rebuilt and interior done first since it's cheaper. Once those are done I'll finish with the lift and paint.

Doing all the proper maintenance work first is a good plan! That way you won't rush. After all, I've always followed the motto of "do of once, do it right."

Hahaha i remember loading 8 rims and tires into my mx-3. Had a stack in the back with the hatch open

Could be that the heavy part of the tire and the heavy part of the wheel ended up on the same side

ummmmm.....never heard of that... please explain.

Think about it, if the wheel and tire were perfectly balanced you would never need to balance them once mounted, a tire is out of balance because there's a heavy spot on one side, to balance it you add a counter weight on the opposite sideif that heavy spot on the tire its on the same side as the one on the wheel three tire Will be further out of balance

makes sense...

Yep, if you need that much weight to try and get it balanced the best thing to do is rotate the tire 180 degrees, spin it and I bet you don't need but maybe .5-2 ounces max to balance it out. Those thires aren't knobby or big enough to warrant more then 2 ounces per tire max. I have plenty of years in the garage to know this. Most newer tire jockeys in garages don't know all the easy tricks.

I actually had a similar problem with my wife's jeep. They told me that the tire couldn't be balanced, I told them to spin it on the rim, and behold! Only took 3oz.
