This is what I replaced my 98 Sport with. It's 1 2005 Eddie Bauer with a 4.6. As you can see it's stock at this point. I'm open to opinions and suggestions as to where to go from here. I'm undecided as to whether it's going to be lifted for off roading or start working on a street truck. It's a clean slate.

What are you thinking of going after? If you want the offroad look and capability I would suggest a lift. A poster on here named Road Bully sells custom made spacers that fit on top of your struts. He is reasonable on his prices too. I think you can do 3" up front and 2" out back.

Awesome, if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for it and how many miles did it have on it?

Great truck by the way.

Oooh, white! That's beautiful... comfy too, no? :)

Thanks!! It was $12 900. Has 74 000 km (46 000 mi)

This truck is SO much more than my Sport!! And that v8 is freaking great!!! I'll hopefully be getting my 32's on it this weekend (on the rims I got from you)

I think I'll wait till spring, but I'm going to get a set of your spacers.

No worries, Just let me know when you're ready.

How about a sound system like this?:D

(go ahead and skip to about 1:30 unless you want to watch him drive around a parking lot)

Looks good. Personally I'd get a really (and I mean REALLY) aggressive, loud exhaust system and a few inches of lift to fit some mud tires on...but that's just me. It'll still look good as a street truck as long as it's done right, as in not a thousand pounds (kg?) of chrome.

No chrome for me!!! I've still got my 32" Dick Cepek Mud Country's. I'm pretty sure they go on this weekend, and I'm looking at getting RoadBully's spacers in the spring. I must admit though, for now it'll be all show and no go. I really don't want to scratch/dent/break anything for awhile. If I did my wife would cause me irreparable damage I think. ;)

Haha, over on jeepforum there's a "worst mod" thread about stuff you wish you'd never done to your jeep. Somebody said the wife mod was the worst and was totally incompatible with the jeep.

I've got no problems with trucks built for looks, as long as the person doesn't try to pass it off as a "wheeler". Hell, I'd put Boggers on my explorer if I could afford to replace them every 10,000 miles or whatever, and I hardly wheel the thing.

I'm quite happy with it now in it's current form (I've had it for like 30 hours). I have wheeling buddies that want me to start the off road build. I have Mustang buddies that want me to start the street truck build. I've told them all to SLOW DOWN. I haven't had a car payment in forever and I do now!! Not going to do anything radical for awhile.

Having said all that, intake and exhaust work will be done. Off road or on, a K&N FIPK with a Flowmaster 40 will sound great! Might even do a cheater dual like a GM F-body.

Keep us posted on the mods. I have the exact same truck but in a 03 and AWD. It has 65K now and zero problems!! The V8 gets up and goes!!!

Good luck with it!

very nice !!!!!!! truck bro !!!

quick question about your tire/rims...

Thanks!! I really like it. Wheels are stock 17's with 245/65's. BFG Rugged Trails. Pretty good tires.

My other set which will be going on soon are 16's with 265/75's. Dick Cepek Mud Country's. Awesome tires.

Nice looking explorer, congrats on picking it up!

loooks good congrads

Nice looking explorer, congrats on picking it up!

Thanks. I'm really enjoying my "pimped out" Ex as my wife refers to it. My brother in law was over today and mentioned its nicer than the limo he had for his wedding 4 weeks ago. I'm lovin' my V8 Eddie Bauer!!

i saw a 05 v8 eddie that looked like urs today when i was heading over to my gf it looked excatly like urs and it had some mods already done to it like it had an exhaust and bigger tires and rims and tinted windows and clear turn signals and a grille.

i pulled up next to it at the red light and the owner rolled down his window and i told him sweet lookin x and he said same as urs he told me liked my flowmasters on my sport. Anyways he seemed like a nice gentleman. He was with his wife and his 2 kids when i saw him at the light.
